Scan an address with your iPhone
The planned iPhone app reads an address off an envelope, label or screen and standardizes it with Census data.
Not on the App Store yet.
What the app does
- Camera OCR
- Point the camera at an envelope, label or screen. VisionKit reads the text live, and the app standardizes it with Census data.
- USPS verification
- On a funded account, USPS verification returns ZIP+4, delivery point (DPV), business and vacancy flags.
- Shipping rates
- Rate lookups need current paid access and provider authorization.
How a scan works
-
1
Scan
Point your camera at an address on an envelope, a label, a screen or a business card.
-
2
Standardize
Tap the recognized text to standardize it. On a funded account, USPS verifies it as well.
-
3
Ship
Save it to your address book, copy or share it, or check shipping rates from the result.
RevAddress Pro
- Unlimited camera scans (free tier: 3/day)
- USPS verification where enabled, drawn from purchased funding; lookups are not unlimited
- Shipping rate calculator with delivery estimates
- An address book for validated addresses
The app runs on the RevAddress API. USPS verification uses the USPS v3 Addresses API.
